Diversity of thought promotes critical thinking. Study of 232k Wikipedia pages: politically polarized teams generate higher-quality content—on science & social issues, not just politics. Like minds create echo chambers. Diverse groups have more extensive & constructive debates.

Great leaders should never speak first in a meeting. Why? Because people change their opinions based on what people of power and influence say. If you are a leader and you want real, authentic opinions from others…ensure they speak first before you chime in.

When Balloon is used to replace meetings, it’s transformative. @UScellular's DEI team used async flights to surface insights not heard in exit surveys and build a holistic action plan for declining retention. Consider swapping that meeting for a flight - it'll be worth it. 🎈
