There's a new kind of biotech company in silicon valley, the 'human enhancement company'. I believe this is the next new category of technology company to yield not only a >$100B household name, but to truly uplevel human health and wellbeing. These companies are

There's a scene in Pantheon where two AIs "merge". It's like a hug but WAY more intense. If we advance neurotech enough, we'll gain the ability to let our minds literally touch. Invent new forms of intimacy! Imagine how fantastic giving your partner a "neurochemical hug" would be

This has strengthened two prior beliefs of mine: 1. Future AGI gains should definitely be (reasonably) taxed to fund fully automated, near free-to-use core utilities (energy, hospitals, schools, & more) 2. Radical neuro enhancement is needed if we want to stay a relevant species

Ray Kurzweil is the only person who predicted the AI revolution decades ago, almost to the year. A key figure in research as Director of Engineering at Google. When everyone dismissed his assumptions as crazy, he remained true to himself. And to this day, his books, such as his
