Errors, contractual breaches… Being a placeholder is a pitiful introduction to the NHS. The BMA has had to exert significant pressure on DHSC and NHS to resolve this. This can't happen again. No more doctors should get their job details with less than 12 weeks’ notice.

This year, 700 doctors found out their job details late - with hundreds having their contractual right to 8 weeks notice broken. Many are still waiting to find out where they'll be working. This must change, and it’s the government’s responsibility to ensure it does.

Government is sending us round in circles. Neither the.@educationgovuk or @DHSCgovukc want to take ownership of the issue, nor acknowledge the existence of the drop in funding. Gov needs to step up and #FixOurFunding. We will not stop until our owned by a department, and met.
