Care to comment on the conduct of Maccabi fans, whose vile and racist chanting was heard in Stuttgart? Perhaps you could also apologise to the West Midlands Chief Constable and acknowledge that the decision taken was, in fact, the correct one.

As a man of law, you will appreciate that allegations (especially those made by insidious individuals) carry no weight when they have been investigated and dismissed by a competent, independent panel, including a retired judge, a doctor, and a lay member! Let’s avoid distraction!

You’ve just given the clearest possible example of why jury trials are absolutely indispensable. You would have convicted this man without hesitation — meanwhile I have zero doubt that a jury would return an acquittal in seven mins flat. And you know exactly why it’s seven mins!
It’s irrelevant whether thugs support Guildford. It’s irrelevant whether decent people support him. The evidence he relied on - and who knows who procured it for him - was false. I know you support false accounts. But a police officer who does so is held to a higher standard.

There’s overwhelming support in Bham for the Chief and @WMPolice. He spoke the truth, backed by the National Football Policing Unit and implemented by the SAG — and the Home Office clearly knew the options on the table. If anyone should be held accountable here, it’s Lisa Nandy.
It is a v serious allegation for Guildford to make – essentially the Dutch police lied – & will probably cause embarrassment at government level. That you’re cheering it on & asked him for a ban, implies you may have suggested he risk his career for you by saying this. Did you?
