We'll see what happens tomorrow or even next week or at The Glen, but if SVG wins multiple regular season races, that has to change the narrative about his playoff eligibility to a degree. Sure, not a legitimate championship threat but neither is 13th-ish in points. Win races.

This did not age well. What an awful session for the 23.
To the extent that Bubba Wallace has shifted the narrative on road and street courses in a relatively short amount of time is kind of remarkable . A lot of credit, by his own admission, goes to teammate Tyler Reddick but driver 23 has done the work. Fastest in second group so far.

William Byron was fastest in Group 1 Chicago practice but also broke traction in Turn 10 and slapped the wall with his left rear . Likely some toe damage for the points leader.

In my perfect world, I would love to see a EV series that runs on short tracks and road courses -- something like NASCAR Canada's schedule. I would love for the OEMs to get behind something that employs drivers and leads to investment into short track facilities.
If you like technology this extremely cool. A really long way to go before it’s a viable race series. But it has a place. If you are a racing purest,for sure understand not liking it. Personally I’m a little torn. I love old school racing but also know there has to be a future.
