St Nicholas, shown here resurrecting three boys from a pickling tub, became known for genorosity and protecting children. Such stories shaped Europe’s Sinterklaas, which evolved into Santa Claus and eventually, Father Christmas. 🎅 MS. Douce 51 fol. 069v #MedievalMonday

October 4th, The Battle of Cable Street, seems like a date we should hold much stronger in British memory. Especially now. Stand up, shout out, they shall not pass. Image taken at People's History Museum

Have just been on a tour of Sir Winston Churchill’s wardrobe. According to the National Trust’s leading Churchill expert he really did pair this velvet jumpsuit with a ten gallon hat. That is audacious. I mean, I wouldn’t dare and my singing club is quite flamboyant.

Loving that one response to finding vaults under the new London Museum was "a number of options were considered for the vaults, including closing them again." AKA "Nope. Shut that door. What vast rat infested sub-London tunnel network? " https://t.co/zLJDGiAL2d

It's worth thinking about taking a vitamin D supplement through the winter, as many of us in the UK work in situations which prevent us from getting sufficient daylight and natural vitamin D. It helps your body do a lot of baseline things, pretty good stuff!

Wish me luck as I navigate responding to feedback about a promotion to engage volunteers, where existing volunteers have made more suggestions than we can fit in the leaflet, and as a bonus used the phrase "something like the pointing Lord Kitchener image". (Enthusiasm is good)
