Now that September has drawn to a close, we turned to our Books of Hours to find out what the Labours of the Month are for October. Per these slightly sozzled looking chaps from MS. Canon. Liturg. 99, October is the month for grape pressing. Sign us up! They make it look fun.

.@bodleianlibs is launching its John le Carré exhibition (definitely worth a visit!), tonight was the reception and private view. There’s also a book, Tradecraft, to accompany it. Honoured to contribute a chapter on how Le Carré was seen within the KGB/SVR.
