Bør ikke målet for by være å oppnå høyest mulig tetthet og multifunksjon, med mest mulig godt byrom og i lavest mulig høyde?

String together enough small, delightful buildings constructed with pride and ornament, and any city can become the envy of the world, almost overnight!

I had a go at editing out the cornice, string course and relief here. I am extremely bad at this sort of thing, but I still think the effect is interesting. The facade still kind of succeeds with just the proportions and the nice render, but it is a *lot* bleaker. Views?

The Warburg brothers: Paul and Max. Do you know them? Not random German bankers who showed up in 1910. The family was originally named "del Banco," one of the wealthiest banking families in 1500s Venice. When Venetian finance collapsed, Anselmo del Banco was literally the only

This isn’t a highway map. It’s Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois in 1915 stitched with over 8,000 miles of electric rail. For a nickel, you could ride from a farm town to Chicago or Columbus at 60 mph. The Interurban Railway a future we built and abandoned. 🧵

According to the Census, England and Wales added around 400,000 homes net between 1821 and 1831. Scaled for population (12m in 1821), that would equate to our building 2 million homes by 2035, twice the rate of the Government's target, and around three times current output
