In the 1950s, U.S. kids were taught to survive a nuclear blast by hiding under their desks. Bright cartoon pamphlets. Singing turtles. ‘Duck and cover!’. We laugh at it now.but it’s proof that sometimes denial is policy. Would you trust your government in a moment like that?.
