We demonstrated how a Ni(III) bisphenoxyl diradical species (Formal Ni(V) species) is formed methodically using Ce(IV) oxidant, and encountered, in between, high-valent Ni(III) and Ni(IV) species. Thanks @ANRFIndia and @Chemistry_IITK .
