Consumers can only buy British if they can see what they are buying.CLEAR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN LABELLING SHOULD BE MANDATORY.Not just fine print on back of pack. Put the power in consumers’ hands, would instantly solve supply chain issues& the imbalance of power STRANGLING farmers.
As one of the very few farming MPs, I'm perhaps more qualified to say this than most. British farming is in a hole, a very deep hole. What would happen if MPs all packed up our bags and downed tools? I suspect the country would manage. If farmers did the same? The entire.

This last couple of weeks have been Rough. Began with the funeral of much beloved elderly friends of my deceased grandparents and myself, end of an era, but I was diverted into worrying about our pigs that were stuck on a wagon on M62 due to an accident in crazy heat, 1/3.

This isn’t an easy gig,it breaks your heart at times and you wonder if there’s another job you could do.But the answer is no-farming runs through your veins,you don’t have to be born into it, you might choose it or even fall into it but once it’s in you it will never leave you 💜.

She’s still got the other eye and has been treated. After the vet visit we had training on emergency Euthanasia (prevent unnecessary suffering)-something we don’t like to talk about,let alone do, but something that is so important to get right for animal welfare. #truthbombs 3/4.
