My kids' level of Hindi is embarrassingly poor. If children need to live and work in India, Hindi is an equally "important lingua franca" for work, getting work done and negotiation.

At my home, We have reached a point where I am asking my children to speak only Hindi and they are allowed to watch TV only in Hindi or German. English is simply not encouraged anymore at home. Proper spoken Hindi + Urdu is like poetry.
