The JWST First Science Results Meeting at @SpaceTelescope this week is one of the best meetings I've ever attended. All the talks were so amazing, and it was a true privilege to get such a great overview of everything @NASAWebb has done... in just a few months!!!
@CNS_UMass @stsci @NASAWebb @NASAGoddard Nathalie Ouellette of @iExoplanets, Sean Linden from @CNS_UMass, and Divakara Mayya from @inaoe_mx explain how (and why) we’re using #NASAWebb to understand star formation hidden in the dust of distant merging galaxies. #JWSTFirstScience

When LIRGs are LIFE. 💗
Hang out long enough and you start to become each other…just ask these galaxies. In Webb’s latest image, two galaxies in the process of merging are twisting each other out of shape. Bright tendrils of star-forming regions connect their glowing cores: https://t.co/X1HBrCSjxu

Haven't had the chance to give any in-person public talks in English in Montreal yet about @NASAWebb, so really looking forward to this one before unplugging before the holiday season!
✨ Our Deputy Director Nathalie Ouellette @AngryAstroPanda is the speaker for the next @AstroMcGill @TSIMcGill Public Astro Night on Nov 30 7PM. Come find out about the amazing science of the @NASAWebb and Canada's contribution to the mission! @csa_asc

The shocks and turbulence caused by the protostar within L1527 prevents the formation of new stars. As a result, the protostar dominates the space, taking much of the nearby material for itself. Explore the stunning #NASAWebb image: https://t.co/iTZJOGao7i

Taking a Halloween break this year, hanging out with my family in Florida for some vacation time. But also mostly know I’ll never be able to top last year’s costume of @NASAWebb.

Happy Halloween everyone!!! From the Universe, to you. 🎃
You can’t escape its clutches. Just in time for #Halloween, the Pillars of Creation reach back out like a ghostly hand. The eerie landscape, captured this time by Webb’s mid-infrared instrument (MIRI), spotlights ancient curtains of dust in new detail: https://t.co/Y9QQBf9nYM

Un gros merci au @LeDevoir pour ce beau profil. J'espère que les missions d'astronomie d'aujourd'hui comme @NASAWebb vont continuer d'inspirer les astronomes de demain! @asc_csa @iExoplanets @OMM_Officiel

@NASAHubble @NASAWebb And special mention to these incredibly eerie red glowing cracks here caused by jets and shocks in the gas from all the newborn stars. It looks like glowing lava!

Alright, I gotta say, this one in particular hit me right in the feels. The Pillars of Creation as seen by @NASAHubble is such an iconic image. Seeing @NASAWebb's version with the gaps in the dust, unveiling the stars hidden behind those curtains... it feels almost surreal!!
This is what you’ve waited for. Journey with us through Webb’s breathtaking view of the Pillars of Creation, where scores of newly formed stars glisten like dewdrops among floating, translucent columns of gas and dust: https://t.co/5ea1kCzU5x Here’s your guided tour ⬇️

These cosmic “tree rings” tell a story written by the stars. Every 8 years, these 2 stars are brought together by their orbits, creating streams of gas that can then form a new ring of dust. Webb reveals 15 of the 17 rings here for the first time: https://t.co/k93phPNoec

Bing bang boop! They did it!
This just in: The #DARTmission impact is confirmed to have changed the orbit of moonlet Dimorphos around its asteroid Didymos. For the first time ever, humans changed the motion of a celestial object. More details: https://t.co/aQj8N7fnuV

I've always had a weakness for @chandraxray images. Beautiful to see Webb images combined with Chandra observations!
Chandra & Webb, together at last! Webb's infrared abilities combined with Chandra's X-ray vision underscore how the power of any of NASA's telescopes is only enhanced when joined with other instruments, both in space and on the ground. More: https://t.co/IzKkaTncSX

Super exciting @NASAWebb result from a team of Canadian astronomers! The Sparkler Galaxy, part of Webb's Deep Field, seems to be surrounded by glittering globular clusters of stars that might host some of the oldest stars observed.
Astronomers from #UofT have discovered the universe’s oldest star clusters in a sparkling galaxy far, far away. Learn how #NASAWebb revealed these very faint objects for the first time: https://t.co/x5i1LQOsE9

Happening in just 10 hours!!! No matter the results, we are going to be learning so much about asteroids and how we can interact with our Solar System environment in the future. Smashy smashy!! 🛰💥🪨❤️
Just 1⃣ more day! DART will become the first-ever space mission to demonstrate #asteroid deflection by kinetic impactor. Are you ready to watch history in the making? 💥🛰️ Watch @NASA's #DARTMission LIVE tomorrow at 6pm ET. ▶️➡️ https://t.co/CRmd7X4Ku1
