In 2022, Snoopy returned to space aboard Artemis I, on which he travelled 2.3 million km around the Moon and back. He served as the Zero Gravity Indicator) during that mission. ZGIs are small items that provide a visual indicator of when a spacecraft has reached microgravity.

His first trip to space was on Apollo 8 when astronauts Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, and Bill Anders took Silver Snoopy lapel pins with them. Snoopy then travelled aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia in 1990 and to the International Space Station in 2019 in the form of a plush toy.
