Got more information from the scene. Sounds like the fire originated from an elevated mechanical room atop this building on the corner of Seymour. Expect Seymour Street between Georgia and Robson to be closed for a bit #Vancouver
@VanFireRescue really hope this is not at the former HBC.

Kits Pool should be open and accessible to everyone, all the time - no complicated booking system, no barriers. What made sense during the pandemic doesn’t anymore. It's time to bring back easy, drop-in access for all. I have sent a letter to all Park Board commissioners

Can our transit infrastructure even support later night hours for drinking in #Vancouver? I think it's time to start seriously discussing the possibility of extending #SkyTrain hours. VCH does not support the liquor hour extensions.

This whole post has 97 comments in total. Where are you pulling the 250 number from? . Even in this thread you posted, there are lots of people who say they don't want the system in place. This is not unanimous support.
