A reminder to trust the space weather experts. A Twitter/X list to follow what they are saying in real time:
Bringing this back (thanks to @NycStormChaser!) as I'm already starting to see homemade aurora view line maps surface. DO NOT RELY ON AURORA VIEW MAPS TO DETERMINE WHERE YOU MAY OR MAY NOT SEE AURORA WHEN THE SOLAR STORM HAS NOT EVEN ARRIVED YET.

One of the strangest things about watching #UtahHC road games is the near silence when we score since we are a new franchise and don’t have a big fanbase across the country yet. 😅

The aurora is indeed visible in parts of Utah! These photos were taken in Hanksville by one of our forecasters. Are you able to spot it where you are? #utwx

Daily reminder that Kp does not equate to where aurora will be visible and despite SWPC posting a 3-day forecast, we DO NOT KNOW PRIMETIME VIEWING IN ADVANCE.
🌌✨TONIGHT'S NORTHERN LIGHTS!✨🌌 A severe G4 storm is expected to arrive tonight, bringing the possibility of northern lights for a good chunk of the lower 48! Primetime viewing is expected from 8PM - 12PM! Overhead Aurora is possible in the red, while in the green, Aurora

A reminder that space weather is very complicated & requires a lot of realtime updates. I created a Twitter/X list with space weather experts if you want to follow along with what they are saying this weekend (or anytime!): https://t.co/5o4ouvkPzh
While we wait for CME arrivals, let’s talk a little bit about the 3-day forecasts SWPC issues that often get used when talking about the potential for aurora. Another reminder that kp is NOT a good indicator of aurora nor are space weather forecasts designed for aurora viewing.

Utah is my new number one NHL team (sore subject for my brothers 😂). Blues demoted to #2 spot and I will cheer them on if they aren’t playing Utah. Super excited to cheer on the hometown kid (Keller). 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
@AndreaUrbanTV @utahhockeyclub @fox13 Any word on who former Fox 13 reporter and StL Blues hockey fan @AllisonCroghan is supporting tonight?

Has anyone taken Breeze Airways out of Provo airport? I’ve never flown out of Provo airport but I hear it’s fast and convenient. I guess my only concern would be if a flight gets cancelled and there are less options than flying in/out of a major airport on a major airline?

A reminder that I created an X/Twitter list of space weather experts that you can follow in realtime here:
Keep your eyes on the sky Friday-Monday for some aurora! There are increased chances for widespread auroras due to incoming solar storms. The best thing to do is watch for NOAA SWPC alerts/space weather experts here on X for when the storm hits then reports from aurora chasers on
