Those people are correct. The earth goes in cycles and we are naturally warming at this time. but science shows us that our emissions have amplified the warming making it faster than nature would have. Adaptation is tougher for coral for example that can't move to cooler water.

VIRGINIA: see how that cell just southwest of Charlottesville barely moves and builds back? This is part of the concern for flash flooding today with so much moisture available, training storms can drop 1-2.5” in an hour. And these storms are just now building in. Be safe!

@Ginger_Zee @jason61987 @Jason61987 @Ginger_Zee Call me dumbfounded, but I’m scratching my head—why are we hyped about cloud seeding causing floods (like Ruidoso) when water vapor, the top greenhouse gas, is the real deal? . Carl Sagan (remember him?)warned of this rain havoc in the ‘80s—nailed it!.

Our community has seen an increase in conspiracy theories that state these flash flood events are a result of weather modification. No cloud seeding has ever come close to this type of natural disaster. Believe me, if a company could make the amount of rain we have seen in recent.

@Ginger_Zee We've had 2 battery operated NOAA weather radios for 35 yrs. Long before tech devices we have now. Our area gets severe thunderstorms/tornadoes. We keep one in the basement at all times for when we need to seek shelter and if the power goes out. The alarm is LOUD. Invaluable!.

Hey VA/MD/NJ/PA please read from @NWSSPC today:. damaging downbursts are likely, esp. w/ any organized clusters this afternoon through mid-evening. favored corridor for downbursts/tree damage is east of the Blue Ridge across eastern VA/MD into southeast PA/NJ.

The NOAA weather radio is like a smoke alarm for weather alerts (tornado, flash floods etc). It will wake you from a deep sleep. It reads out the warning. It doesn't depend on cell service/power. Do you have one?. Learn more about them here:

Heart is still so heavy thinking about so much loss in Texas. Also the three killed in flooding from remnants of Chantal in North Carolina. We have team coverage and a much drier forecast for Texas which is good news. See you on @GMA.
