Ever wondered how music recognition apps like Shazam work or why they fail? Can Algebraic Topology improve in audio ID algorithms? Our new work in collaboration with @Spotify, 'Topological Fingerprints for Audio ID', https://t.co/Vlm6hVcQug dives deep into this problem. [1/n]

Warms my heart to see @spornslab recognized for his mentorship at #OHBM2023. From a cold email 4yrs ago, he took me into his lab, and it has been a blast learning about/working with networks! The time and effort that he dedicates to his students and postdocs in unparalleled.🎉🎉

Ahh it’s impossible to describe all the ways Olaf deserves this recognition!! 🥳One overarching theme tho is generosity: of time, attention, ideas, resources…!📚⏳🔬Also, checkout the spornlab website visitors page — I feel so happy to be part the network 🕸️ of brilliant people

I am so happy to see @spornslab recognized for his mentorship! 🏆 The 4yrs I spent in his lab have been the most formative in my career. He took a chance on an algebraic topologist with little to no brain knowledge. I am a eternally grateful to him for who I became as researcher
