Supporting actual solutions to actual everyday problems Kentuckians face. NKY. Independent in Independence. Collaboration and love over division and hate.
So much love to all of Kentucky especially KYs youth at the rally in Frankfort today! We will fight for better representation and love for all Kentuckians!

@AndyBeshearKY
in Independence KY today... Get you a kid on your team who loves ringing the doorbell and shouting "vote for Andy!" 😂
If you don't live in Kentucky, you do not get to insult my state or its people. You don't have to understand my love for KY to know I love and will always fight for better for my community, just like you will for yours.
Go ahead and make fun of me all you want. But absolutely NO ONE gets to make fun of and insult a CHILD (with a disability), let alone MY child. Reporting the hell outta this. Fuck off
It's
#NationalGunViolenceAwarenessDay
. As a responsible gun owner, it is ABSOLUTELY shameful and embarrassing that Kentucky has turned into this "wild wild west" type of behavior with being so extremely lax on gun safety. Our kids are paying the price. Commit to

I'm sitting in KY House Gallery right now with KY LGBTQIA family and allies and absolutely disgusted. VOTE THEM OUT. Shout-out to our few Dem warriors speaking out and fighting alongside us
@KyWhitney
You are a Senator. Your job is to create laws and work with your coworkers to create laws and make meetings. You don't have to wait for the Governor or Lt Governor to do so.
Remember when it was below 0, kids had no coats, buses wouldn't start, so school closed, and Bevin basically said "suck it up. I walked to school when it was cold. Uphill."?
Then we got kind and empathetic
@AndyBeshearKY
yet some of y'all want to go back to Bevin.

This beautiful 8th grade Kentuckian testifying against HB 5 and asking for compassion to our homeless Kentuckians instead, asking to "welcome the stranger." I'm in tears... please listen to these kids
KY schools can't talk about puberty in k-5. Let me remind you this is a problem in a state with a high child abuse rate and a state that bans abortions even for 10 year old pregnant kids. 0 knowledge of puberty/anatomy/sex ed+child sexual abuse means higher rates of pregnant kids
Regarding curriculum, a fifth grade academic standard is now illegal and should NOT be taught.
The standard? "Describe basic male and female reproductive body parts and their functions as well as the physical, social and emotional changes that occur during puberty."
Here's the problem... Without paying teachers a living wage and making the workplace a good environment to teach, y'all won't have teachers... And without teachers, you can bet those test scores will drop even lower. Maybe stop attacking the public schools and teachers
Learning loss "is a five-alarm fire, but most elected officials aren't responding or even discussing it." - Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg
Hi Mike, we know a guy...
@AndyBeshearKY
has no plan to get our kids caught up.
@DanielCameronAG
does.
In case any of y'all were mistaken, as a native Northern Kentuckian, I do NOT like my region of Kentucky to be called Cincinnati, nor "Cincinatti". Love cinci, but I live in NKY.
Criminalizing houselessness, adding more surveillance, and forced restraints on the mentally ill (what exactly falls under mentally ill, GOP?)... all on the fascist agenda for KYGA24

After months of work and input from individuals and groups, Louisville lawmakers are holding a press conference to release details of the Safer Kentucky Act, legislation they will file for consideration during the 2024 Regular Session.

I do NOT support my tax dollars to go toward a special session to rush through allowing publically funded private schools nor allowing segregation of public schools (by splitting up JCPS)
Elementary school students and leaders have formed a tunnel that House lawmakers will be forced to walk through when session starts in an hour or so.

Let's talk about that last minute shady theatrical committee before SB 150 vote which was done in efforts to be secretive, without informing all members of the committee. Yes, transparency needs to happen, and yes, the problem falls most often on the Republican party
Fun fact: The behind closed doors voting method that was used to tank Jim Jordan’s candidacy is the same tactic that is often used to kill good bills in Frankfort.
Members will tell their constituents that they support legislation to abolish so-called “Gun Free” zones, but…
Gen X, Millenials, Gen Z, we are now the leaders of our society. It is up to us to lead with love, to choose good leaders, and to hold them accountable. Gen alpha's future depends on us. If you want inclusivity and kindness, then you have to be inclusive and kind. And show up.
My dearest friends and family,
I regret to inform you that I will be dropping out from running for office. At this time my mental health and my family is the most important, and I cannot give what my district deserves. (1/2)
Says the person who's party voted to not allow fishermen and women to fish on their own pond without a fishing license... but go on about that big government thing...

How many KY workers are gonna suffer from heat stroke, hypoglycemia, workplace injuries, etc as a result from this bill (not to even mention other health issues)?
“Kentucky put these protections in place for a reason, and those reasons have not changed.”
HB 500 repeals a worker’s right to lunch and rest breaks, and makes other anti-worker changes.

Congrats to
@catfaninthevill
and Ethan the dog and all the good KY pet owners and KY dogs and KY cats — the bill that makes it a felony to torture a dog or cat has FINALLY passed KY House AND KY Senate!
Going thru my wallet throwing stuff away. This is not a big deal but got me asking, Why are we, Kentucky constituents, a "guest" of the General Assembly and "admitted privileges"? Isn't it our Senate? For the People, By the People, to serve the People, right?
Well these red no's are the reps who voted against a bill to increase penalties on torturing a dog or a cat. It's scary and sad that this is even a debate

It's a representative democracy with a constitutional republic. Stop arguing this. In short, it is both a democracy and a republic.

She is criticizing someone for having better mental health after receiving quality healthcare?! They just don't even make sense, do they
Just wanted to say thank you again to the poll workers who worked early voting, and to the poll workers that will be working Tuesday, voting day!!!! Please be sure to thank a poll worker after you vote!
Proud to hold the line with UAW Local 862 tonight! America was built on the backbone of the working class, and the working class will absolutely forever be the heart of Kentucky. Solidarity forever ✊🏻
I am so very excited for November when I can have the chance to have a real voice in KY Senate by possibly having a state senator who doesn't block me for no reason

I absolutely appreciate all y’alls messages and calls of support at this unprecedented time of maga GOP overreach. If there is any way you can be at the Capitol this Thursday morning at 8:00, we could sure use a crowd. 💪🏽❤️

I never intended to actually receive this hat. I bought it to support and thank Rich Fierro, co-owner of Atrevida Beer Co in Colorado Springs, CO who helped subdue the shooter of Club Q, who reminded me that even for the LGBTQ community, there are heroes. This hat came today.

for your hardwork and leadership on HB 10, Momnibus, which passed unanimously in the house today! Thank you to all the cosponsors and advocates work to make life better for KY Moms! Now to the Senate!
Couldn't pick just one, so 1) being mama to the best kid ever, 2) testifying at the capitol, 3) fighting for our reproductive rights 4) staying active in the community with fellow HD64 constituents/voters/friends
Meanwhile, Young Kentucky working families struggle with affording childcare, our schools struggle with the bare minimum funding they have, there are several state roads needing sidewalks... but sure, save your rich donor friends money
A dollar, now, does not buy what it did in 2020...I am proud that the KY Legislature has reduced your taxes, so you can keep more of your own money to fight inflation!
Andy Beshear worked against the tax cut and vetoed it.
Daniel Cameron wants to continue reducing your taxes
Our final speaker will be Mason Chernosky. He, along with a few other amazing Kentuckians, spent the session testifying against the anti-trans legislation & what it would mean to people in their community. He’s going to breakdown the bills for us & talk with us about next steps.
"Every child is created in the image of God, valuable..." friend, tell me exactly HOW being raped and forced to give birth is valuing that child created in the image of God? No one person's bodily autonomy matters over another. People aren't here to be martyrs.

So if Protecting trans kids and calling kids by their "preferred" names and pronouns, allowing the kids to use the bathroom that makes sense to them, and not outing kids is part of a teacher's religion, then that's protected, right?

Wow. The lack of basic respect especially that a healthcare provider (MD) would have for another healthcare provider (Pharm D) in this situation is INSANE.

Wait... if you are a public school superintendent, wouldn't charter schools, something ky GOP keeps pushing, hurt the funds necessary to operate the public schools you manage... making your job harder? Seems like voting for someone who helps fund public schools makes more sense
