Magisterial performance by @forsternet and his (fabulous) Swedish Band @bandonthewall tonight. Gutted that he didn’t play Such a Shame (my new favourite) but with an extensive songbook like his, you can’t play them all. Finished with one of his oldest - People Say. #RobertForster

Back from seeing the fabulous @EdwynCollins at @Alberthallmcr. It was a (mostly) seated gig but pretty much everyone was standing by the end. As you’d expect from a farewell tour, the set list was hits, fan favourites & a couple off the ace new album. ❤️ “I Can’t Help Myself”. 👇🏻

@AlexMorrish @Spphi0 @westfieldlondon The car park is closed to cars coming *in* but people don’t know, so those cars trying to u turn at the entrance are stopping people getting out. It needs police to do some traffic work. No one from Westfield are about. Some have been stuck for 3 hours now.

Hi @westfieldlondon please can you provide an update on egress from Car Park A. We have been stuck on level 6 for about an hour and have a long journey ahead of us.

‘Once in a House on Fire’ - Andrea Ashworth's memoir about growing up in a tough home in Manchester - was a huge hit. But then years passed, and her much-anticipated next book never came. So why did she vanish from view? @davidmbarnett went looking for her to find out.

I spent a year at Ofwat back in 2013 working on price controls I’m not remotely surprised it’s being abolished - what I saw astonished me 🧵

Another nice walk at @NTLymePark this afternoon. Lucky to see lots of tiny baby frogs crossing our path. I wonder if this one made it… 👇🏻🐸

Great @WarehamDean gig at @bandonthewall tonight. Galaxie 500 and Luna classics together with ace solo stuff and a brave attempt at Rock Your Baby! Being in Manchester, they played the Galaxie 500 version of Ceremony. 👇🏻

Devised by Kenneth Snelson and made famous by the architect Buckminster Fuller in 1949, the concept of tensegrity seems counterintuitive, but it simply uses the laws of statics. This is a gorgeous LEGO version. https://t.co/UghF3r95xL

Of course the real argument for Reeves' policy would be that she simply has no choice, given the exigencies imposed by the bond markets. But if that is true, then we do not live in a democracy. So maybe we should be talking about THAT.

It’s not the change many hoped for but there were clear signs. None of this should be a surprise.
