Interesting perspective on the importance of the role of director of UK research institute @NIESRorg. By coincidence, the role of director of Ireland's @ESRIDublin has also been advertised and a similar perspective applies.

An important day for the @ESRIDublin as we launch a new macroeconomic model of Northern Ireland, funded by @ibec_irl and co-developed with our sister institute in the UK, @NIESRorg. This new model will be a valuable tool for analysing economic policy in NI.

Looking forward to participating in this @CommunityFound event. The @ESRIDublin has undertaken a vast amout of research on child poverty - covering causes, consequences and policy options. I hope to draw on that in addressing the conference.
