Hard coaching is love, just like being a parent. 2 kids I coached harder than anyone reached out to me years later recently. One invited me to his wedding this fall, I ran into the other last night & we talked for an hour. Soft coaches don’t win or make winners in life.

You can tell when you impacted lives and showed the players on your team you cared about them when after you leave they’re still texting/calling for advice. That’s what coaching is all about. Making an impact on a players life that will last a lifetime, not just about winning.

I was amazed when I saw a D2 head coach not be able to draw power or counter 🤷♂️.
The amount of coaches we have interviewed that want to be coordinators that cannot draw power vs an under front is ASTOUNDING.
