I made a visit to Harborne Day Centre to meet with the carers and users of this vital facility. The centre is a lifeline for many of its users. I will be working with carers to make sure that we have a viable offer in Harborne and the south of the city that meets the local need

We had an election a month ago. Some people liked the result. Others didn’t. But it was free snd fair. What we’re seeing now is a coordinated assault by the Far-Right and their apologists on the democratically elected government of the United Kingdom.

Spot on from @PreetKGillMP Please let @WMPolice do their job and don't give those that want to divide our communities the attention they crave.

I know that many of our communities are worried and concerned about the ongoing disorder in cities. It's important residents stay away from alleged events and let the police get on with their job. I spoke to @bbcwm 👇🏽

There’s a racist protest happening 10 mins from my house tonight, & my wife & neighbours are discussing how to stay safe. I’m an immigrant too, but I’d be fine walking down that street. Don’t tell me it’s about migrants - it’s about white supremacy

There are Telegram channels saying they plan to murder specific people, including the Home Secretary. That people will be 'heros' if they murder others & they need to 'arm themselves'. This isn't mass criminality, that's too kind. Its an outpouring of support for terrorism.

Our city is proud of its diversity and its many communities stand united against racism, violence and division. In Birmingham, there is no place for hate.

Residents on Clapgate Lane have raised their concerns about dangerous driving following a number of serious traffic collisions. That’s why I’ve been lobbying @BhamCityCouncil to introduce a new local safety scheme. Have your say on the scheme here. 👇👇 https://t.co/rabFPc6q5D

A Labour government would deliver a New Deal for Working People 👇 ♦️Delivering a genuine living wage. ♦️Banning exploitative zero hours contracts. ♦️Ending fire and rehire. ♦️Guaranteeing basic rights at work from day one. But if you want change, you have to vote for it. 🌹

If today was the first time Labour was announcing GB Energy, rail nationalisation and a new industrial strategy, the manifesto might be regarded as bold so the fact that these are pre-announced and familiar doesn’t diminish their ambition.

If Starmer is elected on today’s manifesto, he’ll have a mandate for a quietly bold agenda on climate: double onshore wind, double insulation investment, triple solar, quadruple offshore wind. Stop new oil & gas licenses. End new petrol, diesel vehicle sales by 2030.
