Preventing hospital-associated disability helps ⬇️ DC to nursing facilities, readmissions, and death! Physical Therapists can help with this but ➡️ usually a constrained resource 😕 For patients with high mobility scores (like AM-PAC)...maybe we can skip the PT consult? 2/

This #QI study was successful in ⬇️use of physical restraints in hospitalized patients by more than 50% at a single children’s hospital through use of multifaceted interventions, with sustained results and no change in balancing measure of staff injuries! #PHM21 #PHMTopArticles
