The more I look into what went wrong in Russia to lead to the rise of Putin, the more annoyed I become with the West, America, and Bush Sr’s failure to assist Gorbachev in making Glasnost and Perestroika into a success. There should have been a Soviet Marshall plan 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

I think living in Dublin is unsustainable as a student and academia will suffer for it. I feel so sorry for young students in Dublin.
I am just very pissed off. Dublin is the sixth most expensive capital for renters in the world. The average for one-bed unit costs 1643€. That would require a net monthly salary of 2.960€ euros. I get 2 time less than that. Is ever the government going to do anything ?

Going after Russian Dark money could cause house prices in Central London to crash overnight. Rents could plummet, jeopardising the livelihoods of tens of thousands of landlords. Hold Mr Putin to account, robustly, by all means. But do so sensibly. Pragmatically. Declare war.

This is the logical conclusion that's often missed about the idea that race is a social construct (which I believe to be true). Although "few in europe" is something even there I would take umbrage with.
We often don't see "white people" as oppressed and I wonder if that undermines the very real history of abuse Ukrainians experience at the hands of the Kremlin. Because Ukrainians unquestionably have an ongoing history of oppression in ways few in Europe have experienced.
