IMO, Cody Rhodes winning at Wrestlemania ultimately puts over AEW as having the superior roster. WWE couldn’t find literally any babyface to beat Roman on their roster so they took the 10th-15th most over guy in AEW (at the time) and let him do it. Right out of the TNA playbook.

1) I trust Brandon Thurston's due diligence. This is more than likely pretty accurate.
2) A $34M operating loss for a company that's gone from $100M investment to a valuation of $2B (Forbes) in 4 years is money very well spent.
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, AEW is reportedly estimated to lose $34 million in 2023.

Sad. I was at SummerSlam in Toronto when The Fiend debuted. It felt like WWE had found their new Undertaker: Just treat him like a special attraction, carefully navigate him away from the title, & The Fiend could be a draw for the next 15+ years. Vince killed him in 2 months.
