We've raised nearly $7,000 for the bike library. We're so thankful for everyone's support so far. Can you help us get to our next target? https://t.co/unk9znPlOV

We've almost raised $3,500 just in two days to keep the Canberra Bike Library up and running. Could you chip in the next $50 to get us to that mark? https://t.co/unk9znONZn

Simon from @ACTPedalPower is absolutely on the money here: the ACT Government talks a big game about the active travel and public transport projects, large and small, we need to improve our city. But they're *oh so slow* at delivering them. https://t.co/oGFrQqceOz

Northbourne Avenue is the most dangerous street in Canberra for those riding their bikes. The ACT Government knows this and they could fix if they wanted. But it seems they don't want to. https://t.co/gU4fUAId0A

New data shows that Australia's road toll has risen 4.6% in the past 12 months. Cycling deaths rose 30.3%, and pedestrian deaths rose 11.3%. We urgently need to make cycling and walking safer by rolling out safe infrastructure. This will save lives! https://t.co/KyUXtQyrCA

Highest increase was in South Australia, where road deaths were 28.4% higher in the 12 months to September than the previous year

Spot on. Ridiculous that the NCA can afford $16k for heritage assessments on floating saunas but can’t stump up the money for proper pedestrian crossings in the national triangle.

@MarkDando4 @MarkusMannheim @nca_media @KristyMcBain @SenKatyG Honestly egregious that time and money is spent on weird projects like this and the seaplanes while basic things like signage and footpaths aren't addressed. The capital city deserves so much better.

We need more money to maintain our active travel network! It's shameful that this is what footpaths look like across our city.

Boorowa NSW population 1,900. Great, wide footpaths. Higgins ACT population 3,300. Busted main street footpaths. Still busted now. Why does less-rural population = better footpaths? Isn't Canberra the fab modern place? @ABarrMLA @ShaneRattenbury @YvetteSBerry @The_RiotACT
