PTCBR has been working hard this past week to figure out just what is going on with MyWay+, and what we need to do to fix it. Our members' eyes and ears (and wallets) help us do this. Do you want to be part of this? It's super easy and cheap to join! https://t.co/7RP9gQyMpA

I have an opinion piece in this weekend's Canberra Times saying that we must not waste precious land and money allocated for Cbr's new aquatic centre on excessive car parking. Let's invest in the centre itself and great public & active transport access. https://t.co/p9Z44NxOXR

Canberra is moving away from being a car-centric city.

Thanks to everyone who came to the PTCBR AGM last night! We heard from the committee on the last 12 months of PTCBR activities, then had an address from Transport Minister Chris Steel, and a Q&A with the Minister and guests from Transport Canberra and Infrastructure Canberra.

Interesting write-up from @PT_CBR on the mismanagement of buses in Canberra. In a nutshell they could have got more service for less cost.

10 years ago the ACT Government proposed Transport Canberra as a response to criticisms our public transport was expensive, inefficient, and wasn't attracting new passengers. 10 years on, has it been a success? We don't think so. What do you think? https://t.co/cb2I8tT4sp

"Weekday bus services will be cut in Canberra for two years as works on the Commonwealth Avenue bridge force a "cascading and unavoidable impact" on the network." PTCBR is seeking an urgent briefing about what's planned, and how we can mitigate this. https://t.co/zCtDGc3zws

It's slower. It costs more. It delivers fewer transport benefits for Canberrans. Read PTCBR Deputy Chair Ryan Hemsley argue why it's time to bury the "Barton dogleg" route for light rail to Woden. https://t.co/I0YrdeJXqH

Your membership dues really make a difference to what PTCBR can achieve. Last year our member fees helped us put on more events, including our very successful ACT election forum. Get on board this year as we push to make light rail to Woden the best it can be.
