It is great to see the work of our colleague Niamh Cullen @NiamhCullen6 feature in the Junior Certificate Geography Exam.
You know you have made it when you appear on an Irish state exam paper! Well done to @DCUHist_Geog colleague @NiamhCullen6, whose research funded by @GeolSurvIE featured on yesterday’s Geography Junior Cert paper. @DCU_Research @DCU

This project has been so much fun to lead. And I have learned so much from the community groups and individuals involved. Stay tuned to hear some of the stories that have come out of this research. @DCUHist_Geog
Almost 200 surveys done by our amazing #CitizenScientists over the past eight months (each dot is a survey). If you haven't had a chance to look at some of the maps, check them out on the website ( https://t.co/CJATOZyFnC). Now to analysis. @IrishResearch @DCU_Research @DCUWater

This project is producing such interesting research. One of the highlights, for me, is that much of the research is being done by two of our @DCUHist_Geog #BCES undergraduate students. I am so proud of both, have loved seeing how they have flourished.
We are in Rathnew community centre this morning with our @ACCOMPLISH_Pr volunteers to validate the group’s suggestions on motivations and barriers to doing citizen science on coastal erosion. @dcu undergraduate Katherine Molloy is doing a stellar job

Exciting news! Today, members of our Assembly launch a set of biodiversity educational resources they have created for children 💚🎨🌿This has been a beautiful legacy project of the Assembly led by @MaREIcentre and we would love your help with spreading the word 👏 @scienceirel
As part of #ScienceWeek, a set of educational resources on biodiversity for primary and post-primary children have been published under the TRYBE project, coordinated by MaREI @UCC, which is a legacy project from @cypbiodiversity’s Children’s Assembly. https://t.co/QgXpBvg1tu

Here's hoping that whoever is brought in to look at this does so with a holistic not-for-profit, community-focused, #naturebasedsolutions mindset, #geomorphological knowledge, and long-term vision! https://t.co/LHwhfyAbEI

🚨New paper alert🚨. Congratulations to our colleague Dr Jimmy O'Keeffe (@Jimmy_OKeeffe) on his publication in Nature Sustainability. This significant article explores the complexity of water management, and proposes a systems meta-model for this resource.

Looking increasingly likely that collapse of the #AMOC is accelerating. This means a potentially radical climatic shift hitting NW Europe in relatively near future.
For all interested in the tipping point of the Atlantic overturning circulation : here's Henk Dijkstra's recent talk. The tipping point has been confirmed in a state-of-art climate model, and a novel early warning indicator suggests we're heading there. https://t.co/5kMmE8BdEt
