Extremely good speech by Milei at Davos albeit highly intellectual and somewhat dry. Recommend listening to all of it and punching through the initial dryness. If only some of the EU experts such as Lagarde and Leyen had the intellectual curiosity and honesty to actually listen

WEF Key Takeaways for the EU: - it is all about cheap reliable baseload energy - energy is the foundation on which AI is built - AI holds enormous potential for European industries IF ONLY IT has competitive energy - over regulation is increasingly being recognised as a problem

Secretary Bessent, when asked about Switzerland and the EU in Davos: Switzerland is so successful, stay away from EU bureaucracy causing stagnation. Below French labor laws in French and Swiss labor laws in four languages. Where would you prefer to invest and create new jobs?

This one is always funny. But seriously, even years after the „green energy transition“ and spending a fortune, Germany still generates five times more CO₂ per kWh of electricity than France. Not to mention the huge economic and geopolitical damage. Why did they do it?

The U.S. Energy Secretary just obliterated Net Zero ideology in 60 seconds. Oil, gas, and coal power EVERYTHING including green energy. This is what adults sound like. Liberals are not ready for this conversation. https://t.co/c6J4x7k7Nk

Interesting. One has to look at full system costs to provide stable and reliable energy…. Who would have thought.

This is why renewables look cheap on paper. Running a power system on intermittent renewables is like subsidizing workers who only show up ~30% of the time. To keep operations running, you still need a fully skilled backup worker available 24/7. That backup costs money...
