New report, launched today by @AlCRIproject, funded by the Irish Cancer Society, showcases how well the island of Ireland is punching above our weight when it comes to excellence in cancer research.

Honoured the metastatic breast cancer data research I campaigned for & coauthored with @NICanReg was recognised in @ABCGlobalAll Decade Report 2015-25, launched at #ABC8 today. 🙏 for kind words from Dr Fatima Cardoso, @LesleycStephen, Prof Charlotte Coles and @vicki_durston.
Goal 2: ABC Cancer Registries: not there yet! New review from @ABCGlobalAll calls for global action to collect high-quality #AdvancedBreastCancer data. Better data = better care, equity & outcomes. Every person with #MBC must be counted by 2035. #ABCLisbon #ABC8 #metastaticBC

One of our regular 5KYW participants, David Twiss, got his entire local village moving when he organised the "Kelsall Fun Walk" in support of MOVE. The event raised an INCREDIBLE £15,000 and we are so grateful to David and all those that got involved and supported the day. 💙

Our lovely Liz, diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in 2013, showing us all how to live life to the full. A 🌟 tennis player, she plays 🎾 weekly, walks every day, and attends @5kYWBelfast every month. Last weekend she abseiled the Europa Hotel 😱. No bother, look at that 😃!
Liz Thompson was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2013. A true inspiration, she still plays tennis every Monday with the 'Monday Girls' and regularly takes part in 5k walks. "Unlucky to have lung cancer but very lucky that research has given me a targeted drug."

My lovely friend @CarolDixon17415 completed a long, wet and hilly cycle as part of Chris Hoy's @tour_de_4 today ⛰️ 🚴♀️ 🌧 . What an amazing lady she is -doing this whilst living with stage 4 breast cancer. Always active, always helping herself to live well & helping others.
