Hi Jim, military veteran here. I have PTSD unrelated to my military service. Veterans do not own PTSD. We don't get to arbitrate who does + does not have PTSD simply because we served. I find it disgraceful and offensive that you would use service to shame Rep. Omar over PTSD.

@SamuelStewart4 This entire fucking conflict is a pissing match between groups of powerful men insisting they have the moral authority to do whatever harm they want to prove they’re the winner. There is nothing that people who support any of this don’t feel entitled to do to others.

It isn't partisan to ask what is the end goal here. Indeed, after 18 years of war in the Middle East, the American people (and those of us who fought in them) are owed a strategy when the CinC escalates into yet another costly war.

2. The propaganda push will include enormous appeals to American militarism disguised as patriotism: flag pins, flyovers, reverent cries to “support the troops,” as if the greatest support you can offer the troops isn’t to keep them from dying for no good reason.

Tonight, you will see spineless cowards who never served a goddamn day in uniform wave a flag and cheer on the possibility of sending young people to die in a war against Iran that they would never serve in, started by another coward who watched others sent to die in his place.

His resolutions are as clearly stated as his policies. "I have one, and it's a great one, I just can't tell you about it because that would ruin it for me."
