Profound words, that carry as much relevance and gravitas today as when they were 1st written.

Must be a word somewhere in the world, to describe the joint feeling of shared excitement when a friend leaves to pursue a goal, combined with a sadness they’ve left. Outstanding man, team-mate, & mentor, that I’m sure will continue to set standards & help those around him.

As disappointing as today’s result was, it’s been an immense season, with @wwfcofficial again punching above their weight. Love the club, staff, players & fans. Who’ve gained a new 1 for life, in my previously uninterested oldest. Look forward to making more memories next season

Remember the first touch Kroos uses to "dribble" past opponents? Thiago takes it to a new level: he purposefully uses "poor" body orientation when receiving to invite his opponent to tackle, then aims the first touch behind him and turns, using his rival's momentum against them.

Big positives for 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 coaches/fans - Starting XI represented 8 different club sides, only one player 27+ - Increased periods of controlled possession (e.g. Sterling’s goal), without losing counter-attacking strengths. - Strongest bench in yrs, match winners, Grealish/Rashford

Football really is The Beautiful Game... 🤩 Sometimes you see things on the pitch that are simply outrageous! 🎬 Enjoy 6️⃣ minutes of attackers making defenders look silly 😩🔥

Hugely under-appreciated quality, effective communication: - clarifies decision-making 🧠 - increases awareness of team-mates positions 👀 - reinforces game plan 📝 - psychological boost ✅

Every soundbite of Jordan Henderson belting praise and orders to his Liverpool team-mates in their 5-0 win against Atalanta! 📣 THIS is leadership! 💪 📹 @LFC

As they say “Culture eats talent for breakfast”. Fantastic achievement by Wycombe Wanderers. Gaz, Dobbo and all the staff have created an environment where players thrive, give their maximum, and clearly enjoy themselves.

👏🏻Winning matters, but not at the cost of the environment, or derailing the quest to improve!

Carlos Alberto captained the great Brazilian World Cup side of 1970. Clearly he understood the importance of individuality, within a team collective.

Jordan states that he never demanded anything from his teammates that he wasn’t willing to do. I wonder if Buck Shelford did too 😳?
