A RAF Atlas has been refuelled by a Voyager, over the South Atlantic for the 1st time. The Atlas was flown from RAF Brize Norton to Ascension before flying on to the Falklands. ✈️ ⛽️

Yesterday, I had one of the proudest days of my career as we finally had the opportunity to celebrate the reformation of 19 Sqn and 20 Sqn. With @alnwickcastle as the backdrop for our parade, we put on an amazing spectacle for our VIPs and families. 👉

A superb Yorkshire morning today for our @10Association Remembrance Service at former #RAFMelbourne. Finally, we were able to gather together with good friends to remember those who served on the Squadron in WWII. 'Rem Acu Tangere'

Imagine the impact #BomberCommand made on Vale of York & Yorks Wolds in WWII - Today I drove past aerodromes at Carnaby, Full Sutton, Pocklington, Leconfield, Driffield, Lissett & wasn't on my way to see any of them. Had to visit the wonderful #158Sqn memorial at Lissett though.

Today with @RAFBF we commemorated 55,573 aviators from @RoyalAirForce Bomber Command who died defending our freedom in the Second World War. We remember them.

We've been lucky to welcome birthday boy Douglas Newham from Cumbria, as he turns 100. Douglas was a navigator on Wellingtons and Halifaxes in WW2, flying from bases such as RAF Melbourne. He took the chance to climb into his old seat, just behind the pilot, in our Halifax...

This weekend a ceremony was held in a village in northern France to commemorate the seven crew members of a WW2 Halifax Bomber who were shot down there on 3rd June 1944. Full story: https://t.co/R6cZmVee6g
