Air to air refuelling ⛽️ increases mission flexibility allowing aircraft to take off with a lighter fuel load, prioritising payload over fuel. This allows for greater mission flexibility, as aircraft can be refueled mid-flight to adapt to changing operational needs.

No Multi Eng Trg? . But it’s not that far fetched in my opinion . If you gave students c200 live hrs on Prefect and Texan, building lots of airmanship and experience, and then with majority of OCUs now being TR based I don’t see why they couldn’t cope.

A very comprehensive break down of Air to Air refuelling ⛽️ . You can never have enough tanker aircraft and having an ever present fleet trumps an individual aircrafts fuel capacity 🤙🏻.

An air-to-air refuelling🧵1/25. We are all very comfortable with refuelling our cars, either at the pump or a charging point. It’s a static, relatively safe process that allows us to extend the range of our vehicle. So why and how do we do this for aircraft?

A wet runway significantly impacts takeoff performance by reducing aircraft acceleration and increasing the takeoff distance required. Standing water can cause hydroplaning, where tires lose contact with the runway surface, reducing directional control and braking effectiveness

Crosswind landings. The crab technique, used by many airliners, can be an easy way to maintain centreline, but it requires quite a bit of judgement and timing to kick off the crab just before touchdown using a combination of rudder and aileron.

That is the best book I’ve ever read, wow😮 . My thoughts and feelings on the RAF’s vital role in the Falklands War and the importance of a robust organic naval fighter force have been completely changed. What a leader. 🦈
