I took my 12 year old daughter on her first National Rejoin March in London last September. We will be there again this year. I would encourage overs to do so. She enjoyed it, loved the atmosphere, and understands even more how important it is.

Covid, Covid everywhere. People of the UK: you need to protect yourself if you come to hospital, because the infection control guidelines issued to NHS basically say ignore Covid. So wear a mask - there WILL be people infectious with Covid in every (crowded) UK ED. Seriously.

Good news. The full 'new' state pension is to rise £460 a year next year due to the triple lock. That is a real rise of about £200 above inflation. Yet there are 2 things I'd point out in the context of the debate about the winter fuel payment. 1. That starts next April. This

I get that a lot of pensioners need the winter fuel allowance but I’m bored to tears with the entitled bunch of that property equity rich generation whining that they’re hard done by. So you can’t afford an extra two days in Magaluf this winter. Cry me a river.
