Question for the group: At 2:18, Cody Pfanstiehl shows up on screen, first pushing Graham an then later taking a turn in the wheelchair. Watch his face and body language. Was he complicit in the stunt, or reluctantly following the general’s orders? (3/3).

April 2001. John Warrington tells me that not only did Jackson Graham ride a wheelchair on the escalators at Dulles Airport to argue that Metro didn't need elevators, but he had WMATA staff film the event for posterity. But WMATA can’t find me a copy of the film. (1/3).

While I can only suspect that PowerPoint hampered decision-making in the early 21st century, I can attest that it immiserates research in that period as a historian. So many slide decks, using so much paper, saying so little. O for a memo!.
