As someone who has done software testing, I disagree. You need to know when new content conflicts with existing content, and if no one plays anything but the "new" stuff, then those issues get missed.

The scaling of the other knives against the new knife intrigues me greatly. Even the older Myers knife doesn't look quite as massive as this one.

Lara Croft is a hero of the action/adventure gaming franchise. There is some spooky stuff she explores, but she is not related to horror in any way.
I love Lara, but she has no place in DBD.

I think I get targeted about 10-15% or so. Sometimes I even asked for it on the grounds of someone else on my team needing to accomplish something.
"Look at me! I'm Scoops Ahoy Steve, with a Flashlight! And I'm a TTV! Come at me bro!"

I don't even visit a stream until after the match is over, no matter the side. For one, it's a distraction to have a stream and a game going. For the other, I like to avoid any form of "ohmehgawd, you were stream sniping!" 😁
