When someone acusses others of Pelagianism ,they acusse people of sharing a view about grace ,original sin and good works that was condemned in the early church and it's councils. We are not talking about all the doctrine of pelagius or even what he actually belived but rather...
Pelagius had an odd set of beliefs. Adam was going to die regardless of whether or not he ate the forbidden fruit. Blameless in the OT meant they lived sinless. He had funky views of Christian living relating to food and possessions. No one. Absolutely no one is Pelagian today.

Well,i know this isn't used in Spanish or Portuguese. I also know some Indian anglicans, and they never used that term . I am baffled that someone would create such a redundant term.
@PresbyInn Not just an African thing. Mostly outside the West thing or rather outside the English world thing. The noun is used in the French world too which refers to high church Anglicans. C. S. Lewis (Irish man) was referred to as Anglo-Anglican for his high church trendiness too.

The guy was fired for being too based.
A former WWE creative writer, Dan Madigan, pitched an idea in 2004 for the wrestler Heidenreich to return with a gimmick as a Nazi stormtrooper, "Baron Von Bava," who had been cryogenically frozen and then revived. The idea was so poorly received by Vince the writer was then

Is this supposed to make China look good? Like this has the opposite effect
In China, suspects do not have the right to remain silent. To confess is one’s duty as a citizen, suspects are obligated to answer questions without lawyers present during an interrogation. This prevents the rich from using money to lawyer up and weasel themselves out of a

100% true and fact check btw. It comes from the Encyclical Unigentus. Here some condemned propositions:
@BobbyKam67 @OpStCyprian Papists do not agree with this, actually. Clement XI condemned the idea that reading Scripture is spiritually beneficial for all Christians.

In fact you can affirm the exact same opinions of the reformers and you would be accepted by the magisterial prots and their confessions, they same can be said for some of the cath theologians of the time.
This opinion is objectively false. First the progressivism and relativism starts in counter reformation circles. Just read all the efforts jesuts did to spread skepticism as a weapon against protestantism

Actually, traditional protestantism refuses any kind of mix between old traditions / beliefs and christianity in fact the went out of their way mutiple times to ensure that.
I strongly believe there is no any nation who practice any religion without mixing their old traditions/beliefs. That's how religions work.

1. I was a Protestant who simped for Rome 2. I learned history 3. I stopped simping for Rome
Last night I met a group of converts. All of their stories had the same basic shape: 1. I was Protestant 2. I learned about history 3. I became Catholic Now I wonder about the stories in the other direction: 1. I was Catholic 2. ??? 3. I became Protestant

@sincead33 This is not convincing argumentation for the simple reason that there is no way to truly know whether Augustine would have sided with Trent or with the Reformers a thousand years later. You’re begging the question that he would have sided with Rome.

You have a problem with omniscience and not Calvinism. 90% of the time, you say that arguing against calvinism ,but in reality, you are arguing against the almost unanimous position of Christianity from the early church until now.
It is both hilarious and tragic that Calvinists argue exactly like Satan, appealing to the "knowledge" of God which God Himself has not seen fit to reveal through His Word.
