Iāve always had a terrible memory. So bad, I always forgot my own momās birthday. That led to one of my very first apps, TheBirthdayApp. And eventually⦠to Cronology. I built Cronology because journaling is hard ā but remembering your life shouldnāt be. With Cronology, I log

@browsercompany @joshm Of course, Dia has competition ā Perplexityās Comet being a big one. But Iām still rooting hard for @browsercompany. Two years ago, I told my friends (not that they asked):. āIf I could invest in The Browser Company, Iād go all in.ā. That conviction? Still hasnāt wavered.

@browsercompany @joshm I cant go back to Arc. But I canāt stop reminiscing about the micro-interactions that made Arc so delightful. Yes, Diaās new sidebar helps solve the "Too Many Tabs" problem ā But it still feels like a half measure compared to Arcās brilliant UX. The aesthetic leans Chrome.

@browsercompany @joshm I know I kept my analysis of Dia relatively short ā But thatās not a knock on the product. Not at all. There are two reasons for that:.1. Dia is still in beta ā thereās a ton of potential still to unlock. 2. Iāve only just started using it ā the appreciation muscles are still.

@browsercompany @joshm Letās fast forward to Dia. Dia, Dia, Dia. Iāve got to admit ā I didnāt think it was a good idea at first. Why leave behind a magical product like Arc? To be honest, part of me still doesnāt fully get itā¦. But I was wrong. Iāve now switched to Dia as my daily driver for work.

@browsercompany And honestly? The product is only part of the story. What makes @browsercompany so special is the people behind it. I loved the constant updates. The occasional videos from @joshm and the team. Even though I wasnāt building Arc, it felt like I was part of it. Like I was on the.

@browsercompany And then came Max. Suddenly, Cmd + F didnāt just find things ā It felt like magic. āØ. I didnāt need an exact character match?? WOTTT??? Mind. Blown. š¤Æ. Then Max helped me tidy my jungle of tabs?? WOTTT x2. Thank you. Just. thank you. When I downloaded a file, it wasnāt.

@browsercompany The vertical tab bar was once the defining feature of a browser. Then Arc came along and said: āNah. Weāre doing it our way.ā And I was in awe. Switching between profiles? Seamless. A grid of Favorites across profiles? Genius. Pinned tabs, folders, sections ā Arc didnāt just.

@browsercompany I canāt begin to explain how much I loved ā and still love ā Arc. Itās like your first girlfriend ā very hard to let go. š
. Letās start with onboarding ā. Hands down the best onboarding experience Iāve ever had. Ever. (I prefer it to Dia's slightly, but Dia is still a close.

@browsercompany Iām a UI junkie ā always have been. I update my apps obsessively, constantly chasing the next beautiful (and yes, powerful) thing. So when a co-worker told me about Arc over 2 years ago, I was mesmerized. To me, Arc felt like the next Notion ā not in terms of their design.

Iāve been holding this in all week ā itās time for a @browsercompany appreciation post. Been wanting to share my thoughts publicly for a while, and this felt like the right moment. First, letās talk about Arc. šš§µ.
