Google Search is losing its credibility. Big websites are using AI to rewrite other people’s articles, openly admitting they are AI-generated and even listing all the sources they copied from. Yet those AI rewrites still rank in the top three results.

Everything about the @tokyo_game_show was great except for the chaotic entry flow and that idiotic paper QR code system. It really makes you wonder if we are truly living in the so called AI era of 2025. #TGS2025

Google secretly updated the algorithm again. Looking at certain keywords, search results are basically back to what they were a year ago. Big sites are back, guess some things never change.

Google’s June core update has ended. A handful of HCU-hit sites saw mild recovery, but overall rankings remain unchanged. Big players rotate positions while smaller sites stay buried. No meaningful improvement. PR did its job. Bloggers feel hopeful. Hope might be the biggest lie.

🚨 if you see an SEO trying to sell services based on the HCU recoveries because of the June Update run as far away as you possibly can.

SEOs using graphs from random Twitter posts to pitch recovery services on LinkedIn and claiming they "fixed" an HCU site with some secret tactic is the funniest thing evet

Thanks to Google's core update, websites hit by the HCU now finally have a chance to earn enough from traffic to afford a cup of bubble tea.

Google core updates usually settle within the first few days. If rankings drop early, the chance of a later recovery is very slim and the trend is usually final.

Just like I said yesterday, Google has been quietly making updates. At least they officially announced it today. But don’t get your hopes up. After being misled for two years, does anyone still believe there will be good news?

Today we released the June 2025 core update. We'll update our ranking release history page when the rollout is complete:

He did not specify whose network was experiencing growth. I believe he was referring to Google's own internet traffic.

It would be really awesome if @thefox - (who questions the many new studies showing CTR & traffic declining due to AI Overviews) could provide real data or evidence from Google that supports their claim that “from our point of view, the web is thriving.” https://t.co/s7EnSRzZOe

Based on recent changes in search engine behavior, it seems that Google has made some adjustments without officially announcing a core update. To address the issue of traffic decoupling affecting major media sites, Google now appears to be boosting their rankings once again.

Google is once again fabricating lies, just like they have been doing over the past two years. They are constantly deceiving and oppressing independent bloggers, tricking them into continuously updating content in order to feed their AI.

If you go through my posts on X, you'll see that since the 2023 HCU, I've been consistently saying that everything Google claims is a lie. That’s why John Mueller blocked me.

Since my FTC letter, many site owners have reached out to me Wanna guess what pisses them off the most? It's actually NOT the traffic drop It's the lost time & resources they wasted chasing Google's lies & misdirection about how to recover Google could have saved so many

Google’s AI Overviews now completely ignore copyright and essentially operate like the content farms everyone used to despise.

Google is now using DMARGE images for AI Overviews but not crediting us in the 21 sources. Lol.... That's my arm you can see in the overview. How does that work? Why bother even writing this stuff. @googlesearchc

I really don’t get it. Why does Google give so many Facebook pages a spot in the search results? One or two is fine, but seeing five or six FB links within just the first three pages is honestly ridiculous.

Google search rankings are shifting, suggesting a core update is just days away. It looks like an enhanced version of the last update, still focused on reshuffling rankings among large websites, with no impact on smaller ones.

If your job is being an SEO expert, I suggest you stop speaking from Google's perspective. Once AI search becomes widespread, SEO will be useless. Maybe it's time to find a new stage for yourself. Telling the truth might be a good start.

@googlesearchc When your content is selected for AI summaries, it often means your website traffic may decrease. But Google still encourages you to keep updating, because they know that without creators continuing to produce content, their AI search engine won’t be able to function effectively.

Let me be very clear about the Helpful Content Update. When Google announced this update, THEY were the ones who went on record claiming that recovery is possible, and that sites could begin to regain traffic after making changes and improvements that would lift the classifier

Did Google really think that changing its logo to a gradient would stop the DOJ from breaking it up by color? Before the launch of the HCU in October 2023, maybe someone would’ve defended them. Now, probably no one will.

Perhaps Google foresaw what AI search would become two years ago, which is why it launched the HCU without hesitation and destroyed small websites, since future traffic would not go to websites anyway.

Props to @CyrusShepard for putting together this article about how AI Overviews shift traffic back to Google searches & Google ads. Thanks for mentioning our @amsiveagency AIO research by my teammate, Will! https://t.co/c2Mdevynyf
