My step dad had an American flag that was black red and green, traditional African colors. He was an African American navy veteran and he felt it was more appropriate for him. We never talked about it, but I knew what it meant to him!

10 years ago I slept in a McDonalds in Times square because I had no where to go while dealing with some mental health issues. Today, Got a pre-approval letter for a house (most likely multi family property). I want to cry and hug my mom. I wouldn't change one bit of it!

First, you’re absolutely wrong. Quick history lesson. HBCUs were founded because minorities couldn’t go to the “regular colleges”. So their own institutions had to start their own fraternities because they weren’t included. The. You say white people can’t be in black frats

I cant stop staring at my new house that I finally get to move into at the end of the week. I went from homeless and sleeping in a McDonalds and Greyhound bus stations in NYC to buying a home in Colorado. It is so surreal.

My mom passed away in September. She was a professor at Wyoming who helped “raise” some of the all time greats in Wyoming athletics. I think I tweeted so much to stop from crying because she loved UW, Laramie, and Wyoming.
