The most time consuming part is not writing SQL queries itself; instead, it should be reading project’s documentation, exploring deployed smart contracts and its historical transactions & event logs. Then it’s the time to write and run your query 🏃♀️.
Every time someone asks “why cant you just ask an llm about blockchain data” im going to show them this. Each crypto question can touch such a large permutation of contracts that you would have to be able to build a dag like this on the fly.

I bet more than half of dune dashboards built before 2023 are no longer maintained. It is so frustrating when you find the only dashboard analyzing a protocol but all queries (& datasets) were deprecated. We really need some curation tools to verify the data and keep it updated.
reminder that 99% of dune dashboards are inaccurate/out of date. pls some curation tools at last @dune.

8/n If a trade is large enough to push a tick's reserves to its boundary (or away from its boundary), the system segments the trade. It calculates the trade up to the point the boundary is crossed, updates the tick's status, and continues the rest of the trade from the new state.
