There are plenty of weather highlights in the lead up to Christmas & shortly thereafter for the CONUS, but wanted to give a shoutout to Fairbanks, AK which has been absurdly cold even by their lofty standards. Idc who you are, -35F for a high & -43F for a low on Sunday is brutal.

They need more elite talent on this team next year, which is why I think the biggest mistake they made this season was not making trades at the deadline. They needed to recoup the draft picks they sent for Lattimore, Tunsil, & Deebo, and Peters held pat.

This is main takeaway, aside from being undisciplined & old. They put up a fight the first 3 quarters. But a win against the Eagles doesn't mean much for the future of this team. They have a clearly done 3rd string QB in & are injured to hell. Why wouldn't you punt those 2 times?

Commanders showed some fight, which is great. But you can only shoot yourself in the foot and withstand so many injuries befpre the more talented team takes over.

Sharing for 1 reason- it's 2025 & I don't get why so many in the met community still try to verify a forecast utilizing day 10-15 2m-temp forecasts when any subtle difference (& there's a lot of spread on the EPS for Christmas) would mean very different forecasts in the Northeast
