20yrs ago the Candidate Association (now RAS) of #ACS passed the Family Policy that included 12 weeks of leave for surgical residents. Surgeon know that 6 weeks is not enough.#AMA
@emilysharpe @MayoClinic @MayoEmployees This Duke policy is only for hospital and school of medicine staff for the time being. Most if not all physicians (and ?APPs) are employed by a separate entity and thus this leave policy does not apply to them.
