The language barrier is a patient safety issue, without an interpreter there can be no informed choice, no informed consent (a legal requirement of care) and vital information not shared. 25 times more likely to die, 43% of intrapartum still births. HEAR ME!

@implausibleblog I once called for the first nationwide complete lockdown and recommended it as a policy to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, but 3 years later I had completely forgotten any of this ever happened.

Yes these are far right nationalist thugs literally storming the Cenotaph on Armistice Day. Suella Braverman whipped up this frenzy. I call on her to resign, immediately. Please RT if you do too.

Seriously now. I am a clinician scientist working in reproductive biology & maternity care and this is 100% nonsense. There is no such thing as "woke science" there is science, that should challenge us and make us think. It may even increase our understanding. Please do better.

Thoughts on the NHS….. Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. But this is what is happening in the NHS right now; hoping things will improve when just giving the same failing medicine. As an A&E

Six months ago today, my best friend died. On our last day together, we lay in bed listening to her favorite songs as I retold her stories we had laughed about 1000 times before. I was there by fate. While our other best friend was trapped in Austin because of an ice storm, I
