Great to have Danielle with paramedic Leigh and me for an @OFFICIALWMAS shift at Dudley today. Danielle works on the CRASH-4 (TXA vs placebo for adults aged 50+) study. This is @CTU_LSHTM's first prehospital study so we have welcomed the study team to see 🚑 care first-hand!

Thread on use of data in the NHS following reflection on @ShaunLintern article and @DrLKVaughan tweets. The NHS has loads of data, but very clunky processes for turning it into useful information. Lets look at key factors for future hospital data:.

Moment of calm earlier at Dudley Hub, replenishing stocks of CRASH-4 💉. This @CTU_LSHTM study tests whether tranexamic acid can help patients aged 50 or more, with seemingly mild presentations of head injury. We're pleased that it's now open across all 15 @OFFICIALWMAS hubs.
