It sounds like there is growing interest in the creating a Canadian Arctic Management Plan at the federal level, which would be wonderful for providing coordination and direction to Arctic research efforts in Canada.

Ultimately, we identified behaviors and habitats that were high-risk for transmitting bTB between wildlife species and demonstrated the potential for community-level effects during a bTB outbreak. We recommend future studies employ more multi-species bTB sampling. 4/5

We begin by pooling bTB prevalence data using a systematic process to identify species of concern for disease transmission. We identified four species with the highest prevalence of bTB and proceeded to examine how these species might contribute to disease transmission. 3/5

Few studies of bTB investigate disease transmission between wildlife species and many papers consider only one or two species at a time. In our review, we highlight the importance of considering disease transmission within the context of the wildlife community. 2/5
