Our latest contribution on planar hypercoordinate atoms in @ChemCommun. We tested several combinations that appeared geometrically tetracoordinate and planar, but only C4H2NGe2+ was truly found to have a ptN @william_tiznado

An excellent way to close the year! In collaboration with the @william_tiznado group, a series of Li6E5Li6 (E=Si-Pb) sandwich structures have been reported in @angew_chem. They are global minima with 10 π-electrons, but they are localized as five π-lone pairs! 🇨🇱🇲🇽🇨🇳
