Chandler Simpson simply does not play the same game as everyone else. I’ve seen good base stealers before, but nothing like this. He literally wrecks games and forces you to make a mistake.

Really encouraging swing here from Matthews. Has struggled with velocity up in the zone all year, but here he gets the barrel to this high fastball from Zac Gallen for a big three-run homer. Matthews has the bat speed and power to do damage on these kinds of pitches if he can.

Really big fan of Troy Melton. He's had a breakout 2025 campaign in Erie and Toledo and since being promoted to Triple-A, he's posted a 2.72 ERA with 9 walks to 56 strikeouts in 36.1 IP. FB got up to 98 in his last outing and his cutter and slider are both plus pitches as well.
The Detroit Tigers are calling up Troy Melton to the majors to start Wednesday.

Okay I know the red flags are all over the place with Spencer Jones and his contact rates. But at some point the guy hits an absolute bomb every single game lol. This is an insane heater and you know. his Triple-A K rate is only 27%. .
